The Porvoo River Carnival offers a unique opportunity to sell your products in a lively event area along the river!
We rent out wooden market stalls for the duration of the River Carnival at a price of €20 + VAT / day.
The rental price includes:
- A ready-to-use market stall in a central event area; stall size approx. 2 × 2 m
- Electricity (standard power) for stall use, with two electrical sockets. Please note that high-voltage power is not available, and electricity consumption may not exceed 16A
- The sales area is located in the city centre, along the river, in August Eklöf Park, as part of a free, family-friendly city event Porvoo River Carnival.
- Sales hours are 12:00–23:00. The stall opens at 10:00. The stall must be emptied and cleaned after sales hours. Vendors are responsible for removing their own waste and rubbish at the end of the day
What can be sold at the stalls?
The stalls are intended for pop-up sales, and may be used to sell, for example:
- Handicrafts and design products
- Accessories, jewellery, and other small items
- Non-food items suitable for events
A small grill may be placed in front of the stall, provided it does not block walkways. If you bring a grill to the event, you are responsible for bringing fire safety equipment such as a fire extinguisher and fire blanket. As it is not possible to provide a dedicated WC for food handlers, food preparation at the event is limited to grilled food (sausage grilling).
Please note! A canopy tent is required for grilling, and handwashing facilities must be available at the workstation, for example a water canister.
In addition, it is permitted to sell:
- Packaged products that can be stored at room temperature
- Low-risk beverages (coffee, tea, bottled drinks)
Cold products must be stored at the temperatures required by food safety regulations.
Food preparation or handling is not permitted inside the stalls.

- The stalls are not equipped with the facilities or water points required for food sales
Food sales and official regulations
Any food sales at events are subject to specific requirements and notifications. Each vendor is responsible for ensuring that their activities comply with the guidelines of the Finnish Food Authority and local food control authorities.

The stalls sold under this product are not intended for food preparation or for the sale of food products requiring a higher level of hygiene. Always consult local environmental health authorities if you are unsure.
Please note that the city cannot provide vendors with WC or handwashing water points at the stalls. Vendors must bring their own water for handwashing and ensure it is sufficient to maintain proper hygiene.
The nearest WC facilities are located at Taidetehdas and under the Mannerheiminkatu bridge.
